Freelook: A software headtracker for computer simulations and disabled access.
Cameras that work (Verified)

The following cameras have been personally verified to work by Freelook's author. If you are looking at other cameras, then the most important features to look for are framerate at 160x120 (above 30 is good), and ability to disable auto-exposure/gain.

Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro / Quickcam 4000
The majority of Freelook's development is done using these great cameras. A tad on the expensive side, but If you're in the market for a general purpose webcam with good image quality for video conferencing etc, then you can't go past either of these.

Creative Webcam III
Works well with Freelook, pretty average webcam otherwise. No-longer on sale anywhere we could find.
